Hello and welcome to Pooh Corner. We first visited Orlando twelve years ago with our 3 young children. We stayed in a hotel, all five of us in one room as the children were too young for their own. Even though it was a large room we were very cramped for the two weeks, constantly tripping over each other and never getting a moments peace and quiet. The kids loved it but the adults came back stressed to a frazzle! How different would our holiday of a lifetime have been had we known then about renting villas. Ten years later we ventured back to Orlando with our now grown up kids and this time our holiday was so very different. We were lucky to rent a stunning villa on Lindfields. We had more space for the five of us than we'd ever had, the kids loved the pool and the table tennis, and the adults loved having somewhere to relax after a hectic day at Disney. We were so impressed with everything the villa had to offer that it became one of our dreams to own a villa of our own. Two years later we were finally able to take the plunge and make that dream a reality. We bought an identical villa on the very same street. We have had our lovely villa for two years now and in that time we have visited twice yearly (not as often as we would like) each time adding more improvements to the villa. On our first visit to our new home, we had great fun in creating Winnie's bedroom and on each subsequent visit we fly accross laden with new toys, books games and all other things 'Winnie the Pooh' to make the room fun for visiting children. On our next visit we plan to add hundreds of tiny fibre optic lights to the ceiling to create an enchanting twinkling star effect, that will change colour from blue to lemon to lilac to pink and silver. One of the nicest aspects of villa owning besides going to our favourite place twice a year is the network of friends we have made amongst other villa owners, our guests and our Florida neighbours. |
