The Lindfields estate is only 5 miles from Disney's Magic Kingdom. This quiet
and tranquil residential area backs on to conservation land which is teeming with wildlife. We have sighted armadillos, cranes,
eagles and racoons during recent vacations.
Lindfields is so peaceful you wouldn't believe that you were so close to all the major attractions and amenities. Publix supermarkets are located 1 mile in either direction on highway 192, the main artery that runs through Kissimmee to St Cloud. There is a fantastic array of restaurants and shops, offering food and provisions to suit all tastes and budgets. Among our favourites are the Outback steakhouse and Carrabbas, a superb Italian restaurant. We are only 2 miles from a health care centre (Centra Care) and a 24 hour Walgreens drive in pharmacy. The new hospital in Celebration is just down the road. For the more active guests there are a range of sports facilities close by including numerous golf courses, tennis courts, water skiing, jet skis, airboat rides, water parks etc. For exploring more of Kissimmee and Orlando, the main highways, Interstate 4 and highway 27 are within a 5 mile radius and can soon transport you to the large shopping malls - lake Buena vista shopping outlet and Premium Outlets off highway 535, Cypress Gardens and Busch Gardens at Tampa. Other areas well worth a visit are Mount Dora, a quaint small town, with some fantastic reasonably priced boutiques and antique shops. Winter park with its Tiffany glass museum, squirrel park and boat rides around the fabulous lakeside mansions. Further afield is Kennedy Space Center and Cocoa beach, St Augustine - a historic Spanish settlement, all come well recommended, if you fancy an alternative to the theme parks. |
